The Home Stretch - 2018 is 3/4's done, Ask Yourself these 5 Questions to Refocus

3 MINUTE READ

I've always been a big believer in setting a vision and having goals to keep you on track. This year I learnt the true value of why it matters. When life gets off track, when things don't go to plan, your vision for your life and your goals give you access to small tangible wins that keep you getting up, showing up and moving forward - even if it is one teeny tiny small step at a time. It matters.

With 2018 coming to a close (just 30% of the year to go) ask yourself these 5 questions to check in, reflect and refocus. Make 2018 the year that you accomplished moving closer to what is most important (to you) and the vision you have for your life.

  1. What has been the major lesson of 2018 so far?

  2. What do I want to have accomplished by December 31?

  3. What is keeping me stuck/what am I in denial about?

  4. What do I need to gracefully let go of?

  5. What brings me the most joy and sense of purpose?

Write it down, share this list with your team, get them to complete the exercise and spend your next meeting getting in to some real conversations with the humans you spend your days with.

When we start showing up to work as human beings and not 'insert job title' extraordinary results, purpose and magic happen.
