Untethered, Hybrid or In-Office – Which Work Model Is Right For You?
The move to remote work over the past two years has been an interesting adjustment and as the pandemic has begun to slow its roll in some areas of the world, teams everywhere are trying to figure out what to do about the return to office. We've spoken a lot about what it means to work "Untethered" here at Eleven Eleven but what works for us may not work for you. Today we’re breaking down the Untethered, Hybrid & In-Office work models to help you narrow down which model is right for you! Read on for more...
Untethered Working Model
Untethered – a concept we’ve coined here at Eleven Eleven to represent the fully remote work model. This model involves remote teams working with remote access, whether they be located in your area or across the globe (hello, global talent pools!). With remote work, your team is usually free to move around when and where they need to – they could spend their day working in a café, their home office, or while they travel the world.
Although remote work can be the dream for some, keep in mind that creating and maintaining culture can be somewhat of a challenge. If remote work sounds good to you, head here to find out what key things you can implement to ensure you set your remote team up for success!
Hybrid Working Model
Not into the idea of a fully remote team? Enter: The Hybrid Work Model – a flexible working model that can be adjusted to meet your team's needs. Whether this means certain teams are in-office on a rotating schedule, or your team is in-office part of the week and working remotely the remainder. This model is meant to be truly flexible to ensure your team is most productive when and where they need to be.
The hybrid working model has given teams a better sense of “freedom” and control over their time – building work around life’s many activities and allowing them to depart from the typical 9-5. In fact, most C-Suite executives have reported an improvement in their organizations’ productivity, customer satisfaction and more when employing the hybrid work model.
In-Office Working Model
The traditional In-Office Working Model shouldn’t be nixed just yet even though many companies are moving away from it and the “bum-in-seat” mentality that typically comes with it. This model could be right for your organization and teams depending on the type of work that is carried out – is it very hands on? Does collaboration happen often and work best in person? There are many factors that may keep you reaching for this classic model and we’re here to say it’s okay!
So, which model will work best for you and your organization? Unfortunately, we don’t have the answer for you as each case depends on a very specific and unique set of factors, but we hope we got your gears turning and opened your eyes to at least one new way of working!
