Taking Rest for the Holidays – Why We Do It & What We’re Doing

Rest is something that we at Eleven Eleven deeply value. We carry through and reflect rest and restoration within each and every one of our core values – Freedom, Joy, Prosecco, Intuition & Creation – and is something that we strive to incorporate and make time for in our daily lives, and work lives. We consider rest to be of the utmost importance because it is necessary in order to be creative, present and live in the moment – rest, whether that is spending the day on the ski hill, snuggling up by the fire, unplugging from tech is a strategic priority this December.

We can honestly say that we have not always taken the time to slow down and we have learned the hard way through experience of overwork & overwhelm. When we decided to go down this exciting joint journey of entrepreneurship and open Eleven Eleven Talent Collective, we were clear on one very important thing – that this business would provide us and our collective the freedom to create lives that felt GOOD.

So, how do we make space for rest in our busy schedules? We look at it as an action item for our day. As a business we ask our collective to choose rest that nourishes them in whatever form that may be, and this is what we’re up to:

Tess is unplugging and heading offline, splitting her time between Mexico and Vancouver. It will be a wonderful mix of sunshine and ocean adventures paired with snowy cozy days spent by the fire at home.

Alisha is also taking some time to unplug and go offline in order to spend quality time with her family and newborn! The focus here is to reconnect with all of the important people in their lives that they haven’t had the chance to see over the last year. Many a Christmas cocktail will be had by the fire in the Adams’ household this season!

We gently encourage our beautiful community and collective to also partake in rest this holiday season and beyond however you like to incorporate it – we promise it will be worth it!
